Who Are These People?! (The Cast of Maddie2pointoh)

Maigra Beltran and Bradley Adams may be the creators of Maddie2pointoh, but no transmedia project would be complete without the people who breathe life into the characters.  While the cast of Maddie2pointoh may be small, their hard work and participation have been paramount to the creation of the project.

Caroline Lancaster

Maddie

Caroline Lancaster is a high school senior. She has participated in several of her school’s productions including Neil Simon’s play Rumors, where she played the role of Cookie Cusack. Other productions she’s been involved in before include: Hello, Dolly!, Grimm Brothers Out of Order, Juvie, and Bye Bye Birdie. Caroline also won the award for Best Supporting Character at the 2014 Cobb County Student Film Festival (Advanced Division). In addition to acting Caroline is very interested in art, specifically drawing and painting. She plans to attend The University of Alabama in the fall.

Michael Wheeler

Joey

Michael Wheeler is a Senior at Allatoona High School.  He is 18 years old and still has some pretty big dreams.  He hopes to become an actor and/or filmmaker in the future.  He has been in 6 plays at his school.  He has also won best actor in his class alongside one of his good friends Luis Beltran.  He is currently working at the Pizza Shack to raise money and to work toward his goal of becoming an actor.  Yep, that's right, he works at a pizza place.  As a dishwasher.  Besides school and working, he makes YouTube videos for his channel, Complete Sketches, with his best friend Chris Loeffler.  He has big plans in his life; go big or go home! Right?

Maigra Beltran

Maigra Beltran, also known as, Maria-Gracia Beltran is a graduating senior of Reinhardt’s class of 2015. She’s produced and directed a variety of short films and has directed promotional videos for non-profits such as Marietta YELLS and Family Support Council in Dalton, GA. Her videos have been shown in film festivals and online. Maigra and her colleague Bradley Adams and Trevor Williams have started a production company called MTN Media hoping to continue to produce promo videos for nonprofits. Maigra hopes to produce documentaries and transmedia projects in the future.

Who's Behind All This? (The Creator's of Maddie2pointoh)

Maddie2pointoh is a transmedia event created by Maigra Beltran and Bradley Adams.  Who are these people and what inspired them to create Maddie2pointoh?

Bradley Adams and Maigra Beltran are students are Reinhardt University, majoring in Digital Film and Video.  When the opportunity arose to create a transmedia storytelling event for their Senior Seminar class, they accepted the challenge without hesitation.

Bradley Adams

Since a very young age, Bradley has had a passion for film and has dreamed of being a Christian  filmmaker.  He has produced and directed several short films while attending Reinhardt University, and has worked as a video production intern at Northwest Christian Church in Acworth, GA.  He has been heavily involved in two team projects in which he helped to produce promotional videos for two non-profit organizations: Marietta YELLS and The Family Support Council of Dalton, GA.  Along with Maigra Beltran and Trevor Williams, he is co-founder of a production company called MTN Media.

What's That Sound? (Maddie2pointoh Explained)

Imagine you are house sitting for a friend while she’s on vacation.  The house is old and creepy, and you can’t shake the feeling that something isn’t quite right.  This is where we find our character Maddie.  When Maddie’s friend Maria heads out of town with her roommate Joey, she asks Maddie take care of the house and her two little dogs.  The only condition is she is not allowed to enter one room, Joey’s room.  Maddie enthusiastically agrees. 

Having a love for film and being a social media guru, Maddie decides to document her experiences on her blog, Twitter account, and YouTube channel.  To begin with, everything seems fine, and Maddie thinks she might just get through the week without a single catastrophe.  Before long, however, things take a turn for the worse.

Maddie2pointoh is a transmedia storytelling event created by Maigra Beltran and Bradley Adams.  It stars Caroline Lancaster, Maigra Beltran, and Michael Wheeler.  A transmedia event is a fictional story that will be told using multiple media platforms, and YOU can get involved!  There are four ways to follow the story:
